39 Weeks!

Blue for my little boy! :) (I was facing the opposite way in this pic because of the belt, etc... So I just reversed it! haha)
Coordinating with our new curtains!
Continuing to feel BIG! :)
(Also, if you look at my hand, you can probably notice some of the swelling I have going on :/ )

How far along:  39 weeks!
How big is the baby: Junior is the size of a mini-watermelon (although I’m not sure how “mini” he is!)!  This week I saw a different midwife than last week.  She measured me at 38 weeks (and I was 38w, 4d).  Weird, compared to what I’ve previously been told… Based on some previous midwife estimates, he would be around 8.5 pounds now… We’ll see how off the midwives are with their guesses :)
Total weight gain/loss: As of my midwife appointment this week, I’m now up 32 pounds.  I didn’t really want to cross 30 pounds, but I’m close and I have been told I have a big baby… So, oh well!
Maternity clothes: I’m still struggling to find things that work sometimes… Trying to make what I have work as I finish out!
Stretch marks: I don’t know for sure, but I assume I got more this week
Sleep: I hardly slept Tuesday night, but then I slept really well Wednesday night!  Then I hardly slept on Thursday night (but slept really well on Friday night)… Noticing a pattern? Haha :)
Exercise: I went to the Y on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday!  Each time I did 2 miles.  Hoping to continue to walk through the end!
You can see here why my niece told me my baby was big... That's her mama in the blue - her baby isn't nearly as big as mine! haha :)

Best moment last week: I walked into church last Sunday and my 2 y.o. niece looked at me and exclaimed, “WOAH!!!! BIG baby!” :)  It’s a good thing I love her!
Pete hung the curtains in our living room – I love them so much!  (They can be seen in my pics this week.)
Pete also set up the crib… It’s so beautiful!  I’m so happy with it <3
My mom and I were able to get some nursery things done on Thursday.  We put the bedding on the crib, set up his lamp, hung a curtain, hung curtains in the master bedroom, put the cover on the changing pad, etc…
The dresser (that will be the changing table) and the bookcase (that is for clothing storage) haven’t been moved into the nursery yet.  So, some cubes/tubs of Junior’s clothes and various other things we have been storing at my parents’ house have finally been brought over.  We set up his clothes in a temporary manner in the nursery.  We set up a dresser in our bedroom to be a changing table.  If the changing table and bookcase are prepared in time, we will switch those cubes over and empty the tubs into the dresser! :)
Pete set up the pack n play!  My dad cleaned it off for us and then my mom and I got it set up in terms of diapers etc…
Pete put the car seat in the car!
We’re getting SO close!
Laughing because my dress acted like camouflage with the curtains!

Movement: He is still strong and still feels long!  Most of the time I am just feeling rolling movements, etc… But once in a while he’ll give me a good kick/punch
Food cravings/aversions: I want pumpkin cheesecake STILL!  And sweets in general haha
Other symptoms: Pelvic pain, some headaches… My BP was a bit high at the midwife, but when it was checked locally on Thursday, it was great!
Lots of swelling off and on :/  I had really bad swelling Friday-Monday.  It finally started calming down on Monday, though.  It’s certainly not gone, but not as bad as it was!
Gender: Boy oh boy :) (I guess we’ll find out for sure soon, though! Haha)
Labor signs:  Lots of Braxton Hicks…
Belly button: It’s usually flat – during Braxton Hicks, it sticks out some
Weddings rings: During the significant swelling this week, the fake ring also got tight!  It’s not tight now though, phew!
What I miss: Regular clothes and sleeping on my belly…. And being able to move more quickly! haha
What I am looking forward to: Finishing the nursery… Meeting our son <3 Seeing what he looks like (and whose features he has etc)…
Weekly Wisdom:  Work on your “to do” things as much as you can… It feels so good to be almost ready.  I’m just waiting on those last couple pieces of furniture so I can finish organizing, but I love that I don’t have to be so stressed by what still needs to be done as this pregnancy nears the end! :)
Including this picture just for fun!
